Clinical Pharmacology is a drug information application that provides peer reviewed, clinically-relevant information on drugs available in the United States, including off-label uses and dosages, herbal supplements, nutritional products, and new and investigational drugs. Clinical Pharmacology OnHand can be downloaded to both Palm and Pocket PC devices.

Essential Evidence (formerly InfoRetriever)

Essential Evidence is a redesigned version of InfoRetriever and now includes Evidence-Based Medicine Guidelines, POEM of the Week Podcast and more. It is available for the Pocket PC and Palm OS handhelds. Access to this resource is avaialbe through the library for the UIC community.

FirstCONSULT

PocketCONSULT/FirstCONSULT is available to the UIC community as part of the library's subscriptions to MDCONSULT. PocketCONSULT and the FirstCONSULT E-book are availble for PocketPC, Windows Mobile and Palm operating systems. Use Internet Explorer to download PocketCONSULT and FirstCONSULT.

You must access PocketCONSULTby first signing into your MDCONSULT account . Click here to create an account. Once you are logged into MDCONSULT, click the link to FIRSTConsult, and then click "Download FirstCONSULT through POCKETConsult'. You will be asked to create a POCKETConsult account (seperate from the MDCONSULT account). Once you have a PocketCONSULTaccount, you can download the FirstCONSULT E-book from the PocketCONSULT Library.

PubMed on Tap is adopting a new name, MEDLINE Database on Tap, or MD on Tap, or just MDoT. Our introductory client is available for PDAs and smartphones with Palm operating systems. This free Web application is designed to help healthcare professionals search PubMed, read journal abstracts, and access ClinicalTrials.gov using a wireless handheld computer.
