Consumer Health Resources and Services

Members of the community are welcome to use the library to research health topics. The UIC Crawford Library of the Health Sciences at Rockford (CLHS-Rockford) serves as a resource library for the greater Rockford community spanning ten counties in Northwest Illinois.

Resources and services available to consumers include:

  • consumer oriented book collection
  • assistance from trained staff in locating reliable health information
  • PubMed (database used for searching professional journals)
  • MEDLINEPlus (database used for searching consumer oriented information)
  • Internet Resources for Consumers
