The Assistant Health Sciences Librarian and Graduate Assistants

Reference Service
In-person assistance is provided to those interested in health
sciences topics and in using information resources, particularly those of
the Chicago and Urbana campuses of the University of Illinois.
Reference Hours
The reference desk is staffed during the following times. Hours are
subject to change. To verify hours before making a trip to the
Library, please call our main number at 333-4893.
Spring 2008:
Monday-Thursday = 9:00am-11:00am; 1:00pm-3:00pm; 5:00pm-7:00pm
Friday = 9:00am-11:00am; 1:00pm-3:00pm
Reference assistance is available at all other times the Library is open,
by appointment or as staff are available. To make an appointment,
please call 244-0607.
Instructional Services
The Information Services staff provides instruction about library and
information resources in a number of ways:
- Self-study guides for
Finding Information in the health sciences.
- One-on-one instruction during reference desk hours.
- Private instruction by appointment.
- Informal classes scheduled by the
library.
- Formal classes arranged by faculty.
