Changes in the UICCAT Online Catalog Improve Navigation and Search Options
The Library has made changes in the UICCAT search page to make navigation easier and to make search results more useful.

The SEARCH button now appears in a more convenient place on the search screen so users do not have to scroll down to click it. |
 | By clicking on locations in the "Quick Limit" menu, users can limit searches to results in the Science Library as well as the Library's other locations. |

Users can link to other ILCSO libraries by clicking on the new ILLINET button at the top of the screen. This link enables users to search the holdings of 66 other Illinois libraries; UIC students, faculty and can staff check out books and use materials in these other ILCSO libraries. |

A blue "e" icon replaces the "URL UIC ONLY" icon on the results page to indicate that a resource is available electronically. Look for the blue "e" in the brief and detailed records for the link to the electronic resource. |
