UICcopying Flames Card As of July 1, the University Library changed its vendor for public photocopying and printing from public computers.

The Library now uses campus services and, as a result, users will be able to use their I-cards or the new Flames vending card at the Library, as well as in dormitory laundries, ACCC printers, and photocopiers throughout campus.

Photocopying

All photocopying is self-service*. There no longer is a full service copy office in the Daley Library or the Library of the Health Sciences. Patrons can go to the UIC Copying office, 209 CCC (312-996-6868) for copying services, color copying, faxing, etc.

Library patrons can pay for copies with cash ($0.10/copy) at a limited number of machines or with a new Flames card ($0.07/copy) at any machine. Members of the UIC community also can use their I-cards after these have been re-encoded to be compatible with the new campus system.

Printing

UIC's Academic Computing and Communications Center (ACCC) now provides Library printing services. UIC students, faculty, and staff can read http://www.uic.edu/depts/accc/software/quickprt.html for information about ACCC printing.

UIC students, faculty and staff can print from Library computers by accessing their U-Print quotas with their netid and password. Ten cents is deducted from U-Print quotas for each one-sided or duplexed page. When users exhaust their print quotas (150 pages each semester), they can pay for printing with their I-cards or Flames cards.

The Flames card and re-encoded I-cards will work in all ACCC printers.

University guests can pay with a Flames card. The cost for each one-sided or duplexed print is $0.10.

Printers are available in these Library locations:
  • Daley Library, 1st and 2rd floors
  • Library of the Health Sciences, Chicago, 1st floor
  • Science Library (3500 SES)
