Centralizing collections in architecture and the arts in the Daley Library will improve service to patrons. Now, all of the library materials in these subjects will be located in one building. Patrons will have longer hours of access (including weekend hours) to materials and to reference services. The consolidation of the collections also will help the Library reduce its expenses as we eliminate the costs of operating a remote site and duplicate journal subscriptions and additional copies of other library materials.
Library materials in architecture and the arts have been relocated as described below and consolidated by subject or format. The circulation policies for some of the materials formerly in the Douglas Hall A&A Library have changed to be consistent with Daley Library use policies. Some materials in the Daley Library also have been relocated. The physical move of materials is ongoing, but should be completed soon. Patrons who need reference assistance in architecture and the arts subject areas should consult the Daley Library reference desk. Patrons who want to use materials now in Daley Library Reserves should inquire at the Reserve/Periodicals Desk.
