UIC Library Features

The Library of the Health Sciences-Chicago and the Daley Library will extend hours beginning December 5, remaining open later so that patrons can consult Library materials or study in the buildings. The hours for both libraries are listed below. Patrons should consult specific service points, such as Daley Library Government Documents and Maps, Reference, and Special Collections, and LHS service desks for open hours, since these may be different from the extended building hours.

Patrons can email reference questions anytime to the Ask a Librarian service and email queries about circulation or interlibrary loan.

The UIC Library ensures that at all times, more than 10,000 electronic resources, including full-text journals, reference sources, databases, and indexes are available to the UIC community -- see the alphabetical list of electronic resources or consult the Library Resources page.

Friday, December 12	Normal hours resume

*Restricted Access:
From 9:00 p.m. to Midnight, Sunday, Dec. 7 through Thursday, Dec. 11, access to first floor only including Reserve and Circulation Desk, and first floor computers and photocopiers.

[West door of the Daley Library closes at 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and is closed during all weekend hours-entrance/exit through east door only; persons entering Daley Library after that time must show picture ID to door attendant. Persons without a picture ID must show an ID and also sign in.]

[Persons without picture identification will be required to sign in and out of the Library of the Health Sciences/Chicago evening after 5:00 pm and during all weekend hours.]
