What's New in the University Library for Fall 2004

@UIC: Use Our Virtual Library 24x7

Online Reserves Available 24x7: Check for reserved readings for courses in UICCAT under the Course Reserves heading for all materials reserved by faculty.

You don't always have to go to the Library to read the course reserve materials -- check the electronic reserves page to see what's available online.

A complete list of more than 17,000 electronic journals and newspapers (and the dates accessible online) is available. And you can search by title, subject or call number in UICCAT.

RefWorks banner logo and link RefWorks is a Web-based bibliography and database manager that allows you to create your own personal database by importing references from online databases or by typing in the information. You can use these references in writing papers and, in seconds, automatically format your paper's references and the bibliography to the correct journal format (e.g., APA, MLA, JAMA).

qUICsearch banner logo

qUICsearch is a Web-based search engine that allows you to select from over 100 databases to which the UIC Library subscribes and execute a single search across all the files you choose. Many of the databases offer access to fulltext articles so that qUICsearch provides a one-stop approach to writing a research paper. For more information, see our previous new story
