MyILL@UIC (My Interlibrary Loan information at UIC)

[MyILL logo]

The University Library introduces MyILL@UIC (My Interlibrary Loan information at UIC), a Web-based interlibrary loan (ILL) service for faculty, staff and students on the Chicago, Peoria and Rockford campuses. Through MyILL@UIC, members of the UIC community can initiate ILL transactions with ease. MyILL@UIC also offers a convenient and fast way to track all ILL requests.

By using MyILL@UIC faculty, staff and students can request renewals for borrowed material, check on the status of ILL requests, view requested articles online and send e-mail to library staff about any ILL questions.

The one requirement to make use of the new service is that your Library ID number be entered in the ILL database of the library located on your campus. Library users who have had ILL requests filled in the past can log in immediately and begin using MyILL@UIC. New users will have to use one of the existing Web ILL forms first. After that first request, your Library ID number will be added to the database and you can begin using the new service.

Urbana-based College of Medicine and College of Nursing faculty, staff, and students will continue to use the services of the Library of the Health Sciences-Urbana and its existing ILL forms located at http://www.uic.edu/depts/lib/lhsu/services/interlibloan.shtml.

The link to MyILL@UIC has detailed instructions for logging in, making requests, and accessing material.
