The Library is pleased to announce the following new electronic resources.
Current Protocols from Wiley. This is one of the premier protocol
collections of 13 titles. It is a joint purchase with UIUC and UIS where
the total cost was $68,396 and UIC paid $33,343.
Methods in Enzymology from Elsevier. This is the full text to all 395
volumes of the well-known methods books in enzymology. This is a joint
purchase with UIUC and UIS where the total cost was $8,220 and UIC paid
$4,110.
ACP Medicine. Provides up to date authoritative clinical information
related to the basic principles of diagnosis and therapy covering all 15
sub-systems of internal medicine. This resource costs $5,437.
The following electronic resources have been renewed for 2005/2006.
ACS Journal Archives and IoP Journals provide the full text to the back
files of the journals published by the American Chemical Society and
Institute of Physics. The ACS archive costs $4,207 and the IoP costs
$2,634.
History e-book Project. This resource now contains over 800 major full
text historical books. This resource costs $1,105.
Journal Citation Reports. This resource provides journal evaluations
based on citation data drawn from over 8,400 scholarly and technical
journals. This resource costs $7,120.
Current Contents. Over 7,500 international journals are included in this
database that provides the current tables of contents of each journal.
This resource costs $16,654.
Web of Science. ISI provides access to current and retrospective
bibliographic information and cited references found in nearly 7,000 of
the world's journals in the arts and humanities, science and technology
and social sciences. It is also know as the Web of Knowledge. This
resource costs $123,594.
