Physical Education Index

The UIC Library is pleased to announce the availability of online access to the Physical Education Index through Cambridge Scientific Abstracts. This resource indexes materials from peer-reviewed journals, report literature, conference proceedings, trade magazines, patents, articles from the popular press, and other publications. Beginning in 2001, enhancements to the database included abstracts. These abstracts feature a wide variety of content, ranging from physical education curricula, to sports medicine, to dance; as well as sport law, kinesiology, motor learning, recreation, standardized fitness tests, sports equipment, business and marketing, coaching and training, and sport sociology/psychology. Health education and physical therapy are also covered. This resource can be found by clicking on Physical Education Index in the list of electronic resources at http://www.uic.edu/depts/lib/reference/resources/electronicresources.shtml .

Nature

The UIC Library now has electronic access to Nature, Nature Biotechnology, Nature Cell Biology, Nature Genetics, Nature Immunology, Nature Medicine, Nature Neuroscience, Nature Structural Biology, Nature Reviews Molecular Cell Biology, Nature Reviews Neuroscience, Nature Reviews Genetics, Nature Reviews Cancer, Nature Reviews Immunology, and Nature Reviews Drug Discovery. These journals can be viewed, full-text, at http://www.nature.com/nature .

PDR Electronic Library Online

Through generous support from the Illinois State Library, the UIC Library is able to offer the PDR Electronic Library Online. This database provides access to the Physicians' Desk Reference (PDR); PDR for Nonprescription Drugs; PDR for Ophthalmology; Stedman's Medical Dictionary; and PDR for Herbal Medicine. This resource can be found at http://www.pdrel.com .
