Science's Next Wave
The Library would like to remind everyone of a resource that should be of great interest to everyone on campus. It is Science's Next Wave, a weekly online publication published by the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). This publication covers scientific training, career development, and the science job market, featuring news items, career columns, and perspectives in job market news, career transitions, job-hunting, diversity and worklife, science policy, postdoc and faculty issues, information for graduate students, career advice, grantsnet, jobsnet, and salary survey. You can access this database at
http://www.nextwave.org/.
The Library, also, has an online subscription to the journal Science at
http://www.sciencemag.org/.
There is, also, a large collection of print resources on careers in the Daley Library Reserve Reading Room. This print collection is continuously updated and covers all disciplines.
Library-News is an electronic newsletter reporting on major acquisitions
in the UIC Library, news of changes in the library that may impact on
service, news of newly acquired electronic resources, and news from
Chicago area libraries.
