Database Renewals
The University Library is pleased to announce that the following database subscriptions have been renewed.
- America History and Life
- Historical Abstracts
These two databases provide coverage of journals and other materials in history. The databases are compiled by ABC-CLIO publishers. America History and Life provides historical coverage of the United States and Canada from Prehistory to the present. Historical Abstracts covers the rest of the world from 1450 to the present. Both databases may be found at http://serials.abc-clio.com/ . These two databases cost $12,070.00
Social Work Abstracts covers the indexing and abstracting journals and other materials pertaining to such topics as homelessness, AIDS, child and family welfare, aging, substance abuse, legislation, community organizations. This database may be found at http://web5.silverplatter.com/webspirs/start.ws?customer=cic8 . The cost of this database is $2,696.00.
- State Academies of Science Abstracts
This database provides indexing and abstracting to the journals published by 40 of the State Academy of Sciences from 1994 to the present with backfiles being added. It can be found at http://acadsci.marshall.edu/ . The cost of this database is $956.00.
