New and Renewed Electronic Resources
The following electronic resources have been renewed by the UIC Library (for

ARTFL Project: This is a database developed and maintained at the University
of Chicago, accessing The Project for American and French Research on the Treasury
of the French Language (ARTFL). It is a cooperative enterprise of Analyse et
Traitement Informatique de la Language Francaise (ATILF) of the Centre National
de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS), the Division of the Humanities, the Division
of the Social Sciences, and Electronic Text services (ETS) of the University
of Chicago. Cost--$425.00
Kraus Curriculum Development Library Online: A Searchable database of curricula,
frameworks, and standards that brings together educational objectives, content,
instructional strategies, and evaluative techniques for all subjects covered
in preK-12 and adult basic education. Cost--$1,665.00
BioOne: A unique aggregation of high impact bioscience research journals,
providing full text online access in collaboration among scientific societies,
libraries, academe and the commercial sector. It provides integrated, cost-effective
access to a thoroughly linked information resource of online interrelated journals
focused on the biological, ecological and environmental sciences. Cost: $9,150.00
Ovid Direct Subscription: This is a suite of online journals, books, and databases,
mainly targeting the Health Sciences. Cost--$107,539.00
Project Euclid: A project from Cornell University Library with the support
of the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, that provides online access to a core list
of mathematics and statistics journals. The list may be found at http//:ProjectEuclid.org
. Cost--$1,578.00
Library-News is an electronic newsletter reporting on major acquisitions
in the UIC Library, news of changes in the library that may impact on
service, news of newly acquired electronic resources, and news from
Chicago area libraries.
