The following electronic resources that appear on the Library's homepage

have been renewed.
Engineering Index
The UIC Library announces the one time purchase of the electronic backfile
of the Engineering Index. This is now known as Compendex and is part of
the Engineering Village database. You can now search all of the
Engineering Index back to 1884. This one time purchase cost $15,000.
Linguistics and Language Behavior Abstracts
The Library has renewed its subscription the electronic database of
Linguistics and Language Behavior Abstracts. This database covers all
aspects of the study of language including phonetics, phonology,
morphology, syntax, and semantics. Complete coverage is also given to
various fields of linguistics including descriptive, historical,
comparative, theoretical, and geographical linguistics. Coverage begins
with 1973 and is updated monthly. The cost is $1,525.00.
Wiley Electronic Online Journals
The Library has renewed it commitment to Wiley Electronic Online Journals.
This renewal provides UIC to have electronic access to all 135 of the
Wiley journals we subscribe to in paper, plus electronic access to any
other Wiley title that is subscribed to in paper by another CIC
institution. This means that virtually all journals published by Wiley
are available electronically. You can find the individual Wiley titles at
http://www.uic.edu/depts/lib/reference/resources/journals . For all of
the Wiley titles click on Journal Collections. The cost of the electronic
access to the Wiley journals is $316,641.00. We get the paper
subscriptions at a deep discount cost of $36,663.
