Mergent Online
This database was formerly called FIS Online. Contains over 10,000 public companies and their SEC filings. Individual portions of this database include "Company Data Direct/U.S.," Company Data Direct/International," "FIS Annual/U.S." "FIS Annual/International," "FIS Company Archives," and "Dun and Bradstreet's Million Dollar Directory Plus." This database costs $26,750.00.
Kraus Curriculum Development Library Online
This database is a resource to implement educational strategies and improve learning. It is a database of curricula, frameworks, and standards. This database costs $1,665.00.
ARTFL
This is a project for American and French Research on the Treasury of the French Language (ARTFL) produced by the University of Chicago. It is a research tool for scholars and students in all areas of French studies. This database costs $425.00.
Gender Watch
This database focuses on the impact of gender on society. Many of the articles are full text. This database costs $2,195.00.
Physical Education Index
This database covers physical education curricula to sports medicine to dance as well as sport law, kinesiology, business and marketing, coaching and training, and sociology and psychology. Coverage is from 1970. This database costs $1,125.00.
Newsbank Newspapers
This database indexes more than 700 newspapers of which 500 are U.S. New material is added on a regular basis. This database costs $28,281.00.
EHRAF: Archaeology / EHRAF: Ethnology
These two databases are the Human Relations Area Files from Yale University. They both are cross-cultural with Archaeology covering some 60, 00 pages of the world's prehistory and Ethnology covering some 350,00 pages of information on all aspects of cultural and social history. The Archaeology database costs $1,195.00 and the Ethnology database costs $2,795.00.
Standards-Information Handling Service (IHS)
This is a database of standards with UIC subscribing to the full text of ASTM and ASME. Other standards may be purchased online. This database costs $20,475.00.
Library-News is an electronic newsletter reporting on major acquisitions
in the UIC Library, news of changes in the library that may impact on
service, news of newly acquired electronic resources, and news from
Chicago area libraries.
