The Library is pleased to announce that the following new electronic
resources for the sciences and life sciences are now available.
Current Protocols
The Library now subscribes to all 13 of the Current Protocols published by
Wiley. They include:

Current Protocols in Nucleic Acid Chemistry
Current Protocols in Pharmacology
Current Protocols in Protein Science
Current Protocols in Toxicology
These resources may be found at in the Alphabetical List of Electronic
Resources on the Library's homepage. This resource cost $33,343.00.
Anatomy TV
The UIC Library subscribes to both modules of Anatomy TV: Complete Human
Anatomy and Interactive Functional Anatomy. You may find Anatomy TV in the Alphabetical List of Electronic
Resources on the Library's homepage. Be sure to logoff of this resource
before attempting to use our other Stat!Ref resources. This resources
cost $5,997.00.
Methods in Enzymology
A subscription to this series is now available as part of the UC Library's
ScienceDirect (Elsevier) subscription. The subscription includes both the
current issues and the backfile, making access available from 1955 to the
present. You may find Methods in Enzymology through ScienceDirect on the
Library's homepage. A print copy will continue to be received in the
Science Library. ScienceDirect costs $200,822.00.
Biomedcentral
This is a reminder that the UIC Library pays an institutional membership
fee of $5,803.00 for Biomedcentral. This membership states, "researchers
from member institutions have the right to publish an unlimited number of
research articles in journals published by BioMed Central without paying
any article processing charges."
All University users are reminded that new electronic journals are being
added to our list of Electronic Journals which can be found on the
Library's homepage. Watch for new Sage titles and new titles in the
health sciences.
Library-News is an electronic newsletter reporting on major acquisitions
in the UIC Library, news of changes in the library that may impact on
service, news of newly acquired electronic resources, and news from
Chicago area libraries.
