The Library is pleased to announce the following new electronic resources:
Hoover's Online
Hoover's Online (Academic version), is a database of company and industry
information. In Hoover's you may search for information on public and
private companies worldwide by company name or by characteristics such as
geographic area, financial data, and industry groupings. Information is
available for IPO companies. You may also build reports for individual
companies. Industry overviews include lists of key companies within the
industry and biographical information about key people. To learn more
about the features of Hoover's Online, see Hoover's quick Start Guide and
Self-Guided Tutorial, linked from the Hoover's Online home page. You will
find this resource listed in the alphabetical listing of electronic
resources on the Library's homepage. This resource costs $4,995.00.
Business Knowledge Research
The Library is now subscribing to the Conference Board's online resource
called Business Knowledge Research. All of the Conference Board reports
will now be available in electronic form. Annual reports include
Executive Compensation, Corporate Contributions, and Directors'
Compensation. You can search other research reports by topic area, title,
or date, as well as finding the latest economic indicators and economic
working papers. This online subscription replaces the print materials
beginning with current publications.
Government Periodicals Index
This is an index to all of the periodicals published by the U. S.
Government. This resource costs $1,504.00
ComAbstracts
This resource provides abstract coverage of recent literature in all areas
of communication (mass, interpersonal, and new communications technology.
This resource costs $1,000.00.
