Alt-Health Watch

The University Library is pleased to announce the availability of Alt-Health Watch, a full text and image database focusing on complementary, holistic, and integrated approaches to healthcare and wellness. It contains more than 50,000 articles from 160 professional journals, magazines, reports, proceedings, and association and consumer newsletters, most from 1990 to the present. It, also, contains hundreds of pamphlets, booklets, special reports, and book excerpts in full text. The database provides in-depth coverage on both professional and consumer levels across a full spectrum of subject areas covered by alternative medicine.

Examples of publications included in Alt-Health Watch are Acupuncture in Medicine, American Journal of Natural Medicine, the British Journal of Phytotherapy, International Journal of Childbirth Education, Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics, The Townsend Letter for Doctors and Patients, Macrobiotics Today, and Midwifery Today and Childbirth.
