Marketing the Library, Marketing Yourself
  • The WKU University Libraries’ community outreach programs and many other events and projects have been vigorously advertising and marketing the Libraries to the university and the community
  • Its efforts have paid off. For example, the university has just experienced a 5.6 million USD budget cut, but not a single penny was cut from the Libraries!
  • I feel proud that I was able to contribute in a small way to the net gain
  • What I have been doing earns respect not only to myself but the culture I represent
  • In a small way, I have contributed to the addition of two more librarians of Chinese origin to the library unit where I work in the past few years
