This year, the CALA Midwest Chapter is pleased to again provide travel grant to support its student members to attend the annual program. Thanks to Haipeng Li, Xudong Jin, and Bender Wei for their donation to the fund, the Chapter will be able to reimburse in full or in partial of travel costs and/or registration fee to a maximum of 10 students. Amount of awards will be determined annually dependent upon funding. Terms & Conditions: Student members in good standing or new members of the Midwest Chapter are eligible to apply. The priorities will be given to those who will present at the MW annual meeting, those who apply as a group sharing the cost and those who are first time applicants. By accepting the travel grant award, an applicant agrees to serve on a CALAMW committee in the following year. The grant recipients are also required to submit a brief reflective report on the value of attending the program and to provide constructive suggestions of possible improvements for future meetings to the Board within two weeks after the Program. The reports will be posted in the Chapter's Web site. Applications should be submitted by email no later than April 10 (Tuesday). The Program Committee and the Chapter Executive Board will review and approve the grant awards. Applicants will be notified of the outcomes within a week after the deadline (by e-mail only). If, for any reason, the granted award will not be used, one must notify the Chair of the CALAMW Program Committee immediately so that the grant can be given to an alternate.
