CALA MW Chapter 2008 Annual Program:
Digital Library, Networking, and Professional Development
May 02-03, 2008

Call for presentations

Dear Midwest Chapter members:

The Chinese American Librarians Association-Midwest Chapter will soon be announcing its annual program of 08, which will be again held in the Windy City of Chicago from May 2 to May 3.

There are three major topics for this year's program: digital library, networking and professional development. All these three topics capture the importance for us to grow and advance academically and professionally. We look forward to your contributions of new ideas, thoughts, experiences and knowledge in these areas.

One of the features in this years' conference is that we are open to choices of languages for presentations; which means we welcome you to share your expertise in Chinese!

The Program committee is calling for papers to be presented at the conference. Please submit an abstract and a brief description of yourself to me at qchen@argosy.edu. The abstract should be no more than 150 words and will be reviewed by the Program Committee. The deadline for submission is Friday, March 14th. A decision will be made before April 4th. We ask that you prepare your complete presentation including time for questions and answers less than 45 minutes. Detailed information about the annual program will soon be available at CALA-MW home page.

Thank you all! We look forward to hearing from you and seeing you in Chicago!
