Thanks to the support from CALAMW, my trip to 2007 CALAMW annual conference at Chicago was proved to be a rewarding experience. It was a great pleasure to work in the program committee. From working with the program committee, I have learned how to organized an annual event like this and how much effort a committee leader would devote to make things happen. It was my second time participate CALAMW annual program. I was happy to see many familiar and friendly faces again. I am also very honored to be one of the presenter in the conference. I obtained fruitful feedback from the participants. Such a process help me review and reflect upon my current work. I enjoyed to an audience during the conference as well. I appreciate people sharing their valuable experiences and presenting the state-of-art technology.
In short, I would highly encourage Chinese library science students to participate this annual event and take a role in program committee. It is an unique opportunity to learn event planning, practice presenting skills, and networking with many leading Chinese librarian in Mid-West U.S. --Si-Chi Chin
