JCLC AWARDS and SCHOLARSHIPS

Dear all CALA members,

I am very excited to share with you the availability of JCLC Awards and Scholarships. The ALA News Release, www.ala.org/ala/pressreleases2006/january2006/jclcawards.htm will give you a general description about the conference itself.

The attached form will provide criteria and timelines and also allow you to make a nomination for all or one of the awards or scholarship. The procedure and deadline is also outlined in the form.

Please do read this carefully an/or forward it to your library colleagues or students. The conference scholarship will provide a library student an excellent exposure and education during the JCLC Conference, with a $1,000 monetary awards, thanks to National Library of Medicine's generous support, to pay for the expenses for registration, travel, hotel, etc. CALA can recommend five recipients for the Conference Scholarship.
