All users who quote from or use output from this database must properly cite the original survey and acknowledge the Roper Center as the distributor of the data.
This condition applies both to information obtained from iPOLL and to the results of analyses of datasets. You may use the following attribution:

distributed by the Roper Center for Public Opinion Research, University
of Connecticut, USA."
Acceptable uses
UIC faculty, staff and current students may use iPOLL on campus and by remote
access. Walk-in
users who are not affiliated with UIC may use the iPOLL database only from
terminals located on the premises.
UIC users may:
- present information from iPOLL and results
of analysis of data in reports and publications.
- Researchers who are actively collaborating with individuals at non-member
institutions may provide a copy of relevant data sets to their collaborators
for the duration of the project.
- Roper Center data may be placed only on secure web sites for which access is restricted to UIC users.
UIC users should not:
- make a copy of the iPOLL database or create a database
by regularly and systematically downloading and storing pages.
- redisseminate documentation or data outside of
UIC.
