27th Evacuation Hospital, 1942-1945

Tent Hospital (Maddaloni, Italy) where nurses attend to wounded serviceman in a post-op tent.(1944)

A hospital site was selected in a field on the western outskirts of Maddaloni, a town that was about 20 miles northeast of Naples.This hospital was equipped with 1500 beds and was designated to receive only French Colonial casualties.
