Finding Aids
A finding aid is a descriptive guide for an archival collection. They include information about the origin, history, content, date, and format of the records and often contain detailed inventories to help researchers locate relevant materials efficiently. Finding aids on the UIC Library web site will either appear as a web page or as a PDF document that you can download to your hard drive.
Finding Aids are available for archival collections within the University Archives and in the Special Collections manuscript collection.
