Photography and Digital Images
The Special Collections Department contains many collections that include photographs that document the various activities of people and organizations. Among those that contain a substantial number of photographs are:
- Jane Addams Memorial Collection
- Italian-American Collection.

The library is currently in the process of digitizing parts of its photographic collections to provide access to them for scholars, students, and the public in general. Finding Aids will be created for these collections. Until then please check with Special Collections about the content of any of these collections.
The University Archives has thousands of historical photographs of the University of Illinois at Chicago, as well is its faculty, students, and staff. These include over 100 years of photographs covering the development of the Health Sciences Center, the Chicago Undergraduate Division at Navy Pier, Chicago Circle Campus, and the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Professional photographers are available to provide imaging support for web, print, and three-dimensional displays including: studio and location portraiture; event photography; editorial photography; commercial photography; architectural and scenic photography; high-resolution scans from original art, x-rays, slides, and negatives; photographic reprints from film and digital files; slides from artwork or digital files; film processing; digital file conversions, retouching, and compositing.
