Abstract: Part of the Jane Addams Memorial Collection. Leba Rosenthal Einhorn was active in the Hull-House Theater, appearing in productions in the 1930's. She also appeared in theater productions at the Henry Booth House settlement and participated in their programs. The collection contains programs, photographs, and newspaper clippings from the 1920's and 30's regarding Leba Rosenthal and her participation in Chicago theater and settlement house activities.

Biography of Leba Rosenthal Einhorn

Leba Rosenthal Einhorn, daughter of a wholesale dairy producer, was one of the many Chicago area residents to benefit from the creative programs of Hull-House. She appeared in Hull-House theater productions in the 1930s, as well as at the Booth House Settlement. Leba Rosenthal may have also had a few small roles in Broadway plays at Hampden's Theatre under the stage name of Leba Rosenova.


Scope and Contents

The Leba Rosenthal Papers includes programs, newspaper clippings, and numerous photographs from the 1920s and 1930s regarding Leba Rosenthal and her participation in Chicago theater and settlement house activities.
