In a case when a CD-ROM(s) that accompanies a book is reported damaged or missing, by Circulation Department, make a change in the holdings record of the item as follows. How to handle damaged/missing CD-ROM in MFHD & item record
In an 867 field:
- change the #z to #x
- notate the status of the CD-ROM (either damaged or missing, as the case may be) and
- add the date to document when the change was made.
Do not make any changes to the item record. Circulation Department will take care of the item record. All Regional sites will also follow the same procedure.
