ABOUT THE ELECTRONIC RESOURCES QUADRANT |
The Electronic Resources Quad was formed in December 1997. Its initial charge was responsibility for the public view of the Library's digital space, the development of the Library's Web site, and positioning the staff of the Library as Internet experts on campus.
The main focus of ERQ has been the Library's Web site, for which it has been assigned editorial responsibility. The Web site has been structured to allow a decentralized approach in its creation within established principles. To assure consistency, content reviews are required at the departmental level followed by technical and editorial reviews at the ERQ level. ERQ has content responsibility for the upper levels of the Web site.
The members of ERQ are: Anne Armstrong, Julie Hurd, Victoria Pifalo (convener), John Shuler, Ellen Starkman, Ann Weller, and Lisa Wallis.
As with other Quadrants, ERQ reports to the Steering Committee. It accomplishes many of its activities through task forces with broad representation from within the Library.
