Library Faculty Committees
Lectures & Forums
The Library Faculty Lectures and Forums Committee is responsible for
providing or facilitating an array of professional development activities
for the faculty and professional associates. These activities may include
invited colloquia, lectures, workshops, and informal discussions. They
provide an opportunity to learn about developments in the library
community as well
as a chance to share ideas with colleagues. In addition, the committee
functions as coordinator for programs sponsored by other faculty
committees and groups.
The committee's duties include:
- Coordinate and publicize a program of public lectures, workshops, and
informal discussions on recent conferences, on-going research, and other
topics of interest.
- Assist the University Librarian in the preparations for the Nakata Lecture.
- Document committee discussions and to transmit to future committees suggestions
on topics and speakers.
- Report to the faculty at the faculty meeting.
