Lectures & Forums

The Nakata Lecture is given in honor of Yuri Nakata. Mrs. Nakata completed a distinguished career as documents librarian at UIC in 1979. During her thirteen-year affiliation with the library, she built a collection of over half a million government publications and developed a model for the public use of government documents that has been widely studied and implemented. In 1979, the Congressional Information Service and the Government Documents Roundtable of the American Library Association honored her with its Documents to the People award.
