Charge

Support Staff Advisory Committee was established March 2006 and is charged with refining and implementing the recommendations of the three Support Staff Task Forces and with consulting with the University Librarian on staff related issues.

The Support Staff Advisory Committee would like to hear your suggestions for implementing the three Support Staff Taskforce recommendations (Sense of Community, Employee Recognition, and Support Staff Development) and are interested in your comments or suggestions on other issues.

Suggestions may be submitted anonymously, but we encourage you to provide your email address for ongoing dialogue.

This "box" will be monitored regularly by the members of the SSAC and answers will be provided, when appropriate.

Staff Development Opportunities

LibraryU is committed to providing quality online instruction in a format that is cost-effective and convenient for the learner. The goal is to meet the training and continuing education needs of library patrons and staff with effective online instruction available through the web anywhere and anytime.

ACCC Workshops The Academic Computing and Communications Center conducts short workshops on a variety of different topics. All workshops are free of charge to UIC faculty, staff, and students.

Metropolitan Library System offers classes, meetings, and workshops to assist member library staff to capitalize on learning as the key to creating staff strength and organizational vitality.
