ANNOUNCEMENTS

Library Support Staff Advisory Commitee
Special thanks to AConcernedWorker , who recently used the Library's virtual Suggestion Box to share their opinion.   AConcernedWorker tells us that, "Our library structure tends to be more top down rather than bottom up."

Mary Case and the members of both the Library Support Staff Advisory Committee and the Sense of Community Committee would like to remind you that we take very seriously the opinions and feelings of all library employees as we continue to work-out a shared vision for our Library.   For this reason, you are again invited to express your thoughts on ways that we may improve our workplace.

Read AConcernedWorker's full comment and make suggestions of your own.

In the near future, responses to Suggestion Box submissions and updates on Library Support Staff Advisory Committee activities will be posted regularly to this web-page

CAMPUS NEWS

Campus Master Calendar Now Available
Campus Master Calendar Now Available

The UIC web site now has one online location for all campus event information.  The campus Events Calendar can be found by clicking on “Events” on the UIC homepage.  The first link on the Events page takes you to the calendar.

Anyone can add an event of general interest to the calendar by logging in with their NetID (now used for most University web applications).  Links to instructions are on the calendar page.  The calendar is structured to allow departments to create their own departmental event calendars and post events to just the departmental calendar or to both the departmental and master calendars at the same time.Be sure to post to the master calendar to reach the largest audience!

The calendar was developed by a taskforce of the Alumni Relations Council with technical support from ACCC.  Comments can be addressed to www@uic.edu.
