Promotion and Tenure Seminar Announcement

What: Promotion and Tenure Seminar 2005

When: April 6, 2005

Time: 3 - 5 p.m.

Where: Student Services Building, 1200 West Harrison Street (corner of Harrison and Racine) Conference Room A

The seminar is for all tenure-track, tenured, and non-tenure-track faculty (e.g. academic, research, and clinical tracks) and paper preparers. Because a candidate's preparation for promotion and tenure review cannot be a last-minute exercise, these informational sessions will cover issues that are pertinent to all stages of faculty development. Listed below topics our panel will cover.

*establishing a coherent research program
*publications and the quality of the journal
*co-authorship
*reference letters
*teaching portfolios
*departmental and university expectations
