Introduction

The 2005 Web-Wise Conference on Libraries and Museums in the Digital World will be held in Washington, DC, February 17-18. The theme this year is Teaching and Learning With Digital Resources. Topics will cover the use of digital library and museum resources both in the classroom and in independent learning environments in K-12, higher education, and lifelong learning. The conference will promote the exploration of issues in a collaborative environment drawing on the experience of professionals in the fields of library and information science, museum studies, education, systems science and public media. In addition, exemplary digital projects featuring museum and library resources in support of educators, students, and lifelong learners will be featured in plenary sessions and break-out demonstrations.

Two pre-conferences will be offered at the conference hotel. Attendance is limited, and registration for each is required.
