Welcome to Linguistic research in the department of Spanish, French, Italian and Portuguese!

There are several labs within the department doing exciting linguistic research.

 

 

Bilingualism Research Lab

 

The research focus of this lab is to investigate the linguistic competence of bilingual speakers as a window to understanding the human faculty of language.

Cognition of Second Language Acquisition Laboratory

 

Our lab conducts research on the neurocognitive processing of language among different speakers and learners.

Heritage Language Cooperative

 

The Heritage Language Cooperative works to increase knowledge about heritage languages in the United States and how to most effectively teach languages to heritage speakers.
