Services Provided

Staff of the BI Core can provide basic assistance to investigators and CCTS personnel in obtaining UIC Medical Center records for research and linking researchers to IS technicians for more advanced data requests. We also coordinate research requests involving VA data with the VA Information Resource Center (VIReC).

The BI Core also provides educational opportunities and technical assistance to speed the adoption of the Biomedical Informatics Infrastructure and other informatics tools and techniques. Currently, informatics education goals will be coordinated by the Education Core with consultation from BI. For questions regarding informatics education, please contact Annette Valenta.

Consultation is available by appointment. Kindly complete the service request form that can be accessed by clicking on the 'On-line Request Form' button on the left side of this page. Any questions? Contact laurenw@uic.edu or call 312 413-7316.
