Purpose of this registry
We are interested in linking potential research subjects to investigators who have requested assistance with identifying and recruiting participants for clinical research. The CCTS Healthy Control Registry is a list of participants who have identified themselves as healthy and have provided informed consent to be contacted by investigators to assess their interest and eligibility to serve as healthy control subjects in research being conducted at UIC.

How can i sign up ?
IF YOU ARE A HEALTHY RESEARCH SUBJECT:
If you are someone who is healthy and interested in participating in the Registry, please completely read the on-line application for research subjects. This serves as your consent to participate in the registry, and it is important you understand what this means. If you agree to participate, complete the application and click “submit” button at the bottom of the page. Filling out this form in no way obligates you to participate in a study, but may result in one or more contacts by phone or e-mail assessing your interest and suitability for research trials. You may modify or withdraw your information at any time by following the directions listed at the bottom of this web page.
IF YOU ARE AN INVESTIGATOR WANTING TO FIND HEALTHY RESEARCH SUBJECTS:
• As an investigator requesting to use the Registry, you must have UIC IRB approval and approval of the CIC leadership for the study in which you wish to use the registry to recruit subjects.
• After approval of both the UIC IRB and CIC leadership for the study, complete the Healthy Control Subject Registry User Request Form and e-mail it to the CCTS Registry, c/o Wei-Min Liang (weiminl@uic.edu). User Request Form
• Complete and sign the User Agreement and send it through campus mail to the CCTS Registry, c/o Wei-Min Liang, UIC CCTS, 914 S. Wood St., MC 595, Chicago, IL 60612). User Agreement
• After your User Agreement has been received, and is approved by the Registry’s Principal Investigator, the CCTS Registry staff will e-mail you an approval letter and the contact information for the registry participants that match the characteristics that you submitted on your User Request Form.
