Community Involvement in Research Training


CIRTification is a human research protections training program designed specifically for community research partners with little or no prior research experience.

About the Author

At the time CIRTification was developed, Emily E. Anderson, PhD, MPH was project director at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) Center for Clinical and Translational Science (CCTS). She is currently assistant professor of bioethics and health policy at the Stritch School of Medicine at Loyola University Chicago.

Dr. Anderson has doctoral training in research ethics as well as experience conducting community-engaged research and serving on institutional review boards.
