If you are going to work on a research project and will be:

Recruiting participants,
Obtaining informed consent, OR
Collecting data

then your partnering academic institution will most likely require that you complete "human subjects protection training" prior to engaging in any research activities.

CIRTification was developed for people just like you. This is a human research protection training program for individuals who are new to research.

At this time, there is unfortunately no online or "self-study" version of CIRTification.
