REACH Mission

REACH is designed to ensure the availability of a broad, flexible, and integrated set of education programs providing the needed clinical and translational (CT) research skills to a diverse population of potential trainees. These programs will help to foster a collaborative culture of investigation centered on the training of students and the mentoring of junior faculty. The REACH educational structure is designed to encourage team science and provides a varied curriculum to serve the needs of junior and senior trainees, junior and senior faculty members, and community and research support personnel. The broad CCTS educational program includes both didactic and mentored research programs, and many of the programs will grant degrees or certificates. The CCTS educational program will be distinctive at UIC because of the breadth of training offered and the availability of educational opportunities to all members of the UIC community and key partners.
