Flow Cytometry Service (RRC/FCS)

The Flow Cytometry Service maintains cytometers and cell sorters. Flow cytometry is used to sort, examine, and count microscopic particles suspended in a stream of fluid. Modern instruments are capable of fluorescence-activated cell sorting. The FCS also maintains an automated magnetic bead sorter that can be used to enrich rare populations of cells.

For more information on the Flow Cytometry Service, please contact us at ttrc@uic.edu or go to the main RRC/FCS page.
