CCTS: Newsletter
Irene Ziaya, LCSW, MBA
Investigator Interface Coordinator, CCTS
Ms. Ziaya serves on and coordinates the Editorial Board of the CCTS Newsletter. She has extensive experience in clinical and translational research, as previous Administrative Director of the UIC federally-funded GCRC, Program Coordinator for a multicenter NIH Stroke Registry, and a senior staff member in the Central Research Office of a major academic medical center.
The goal of the CCTS newsletter is to bring timely information
regarding various CCTS activities to the clinical translational
researcher at UIC and CCTS partners. The CCTS
Newsletter will be published quarterly, and will feature the
following:
1. NIH CTSA related news
2. Interviews with College Deans, CCTS organizers, researchers,
& new recruits
3. Lecture and Symposia announcements
4. Synopsis of seminal lectures, publications, funded proposals,
and awards
5. Brief articles on translational technologies and various
research material banks
6. Patient recruitment
7. Highlights from CCTS partners
