Message from the Dean to the Classes of 1942, 1947, 1952, 1957, 1962, 1967, 1972, 1977 and 1982

Joseph A. Flaherty, MD

Dear Alumni and Friends,

The College of Medicine is holding its annual Alumni Reunion on October 4 and 5, 2007 in Chicago and we cordially invite you to attend. As in years past, the reunion offers a wonderful opportunity for you to see the campus, tour the buildings, and most importantly, renew old friendships with your former classmates.

This is a very special reunion year because the College of Medicine is also celebrating its 125th anniversary. We will host a special 125th Anniversary Gala on the evening of Friday, October 5th at Union Station in downtown Chicago. As a reunion attendee, your gala ticket price will be covered in your reunion fee.

For some, this may be your first time back to campus in many years. If so, you’ll find many new and exciting things to explore. The campus has transformed and grown in many ways, including the new College of Medicine Research Building, on the corner of Taylor Street and Wolcott Avenue. This state-of-the-art facility allows our faculty and students to conduct cutting-edge research.

Many alumni volunteers are already involved in the planning process. We welcome you to join us for an enjoyable alumni experience, and look forward to seeing you in Chicago. Invitations and further details will be mailed out in late March. For more information or to volunteer call 312.996.8426.

I look forward to seeing all of you in October!
