Class of 1956’s William Prescott, MD, and Merle Crossland, MD, get ready to depart for the bus tour of campus. The tour covered the growth of campus over the past 5 decades. Riding the bus around campus brought back fond memories for alumni, many whom had not been back to campus in many years.

Tony Cosentino, Class of 1956, toasted to a great reunion aboard the Odyssey Friday night. He toasted the future of the College of Medicine and spoke to the medical students present by encouraging them to continue the legacy of excellence.


Members of the Class of 1956 were among the more than 250 alumni and guests who boarded the Odyssey Friday night for dinner and dancing and a spectacular view of the city.


Members of the Class of 1956 were surprised with the astounding growth the campus has seen over the past few decades.


Tim McDonald, MD, professor of anesthesiology, gave a presentation on the new patient safety program at UIC on Friday.


Jack Remington, MD ‘56, was awarded the College of Medicine Alumni Achievement Award. Remington was honored for his service as one of the world’s best infectious diseases researchers and clinicians.
