Applying
for Financial Aid at the College of Medicine
(CHICAGO PEORIA ROCKFORD CHAMPAIGN-URBANA)
Financial assistance for medical students is available. To apply for
federal, state and institutional funds, you must complete the FREE Application
for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the Renewal FAFSA. You can complete
the FAFSA electronically at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
The Renewal FAFSA is only available on the Internet. To complete the
Renewal FAFSA you must use your U.S. Department of Education Personal
Identification Number (PIN), which the federal processor mailed or emailed
to you if you completed a 2007-2008 FAFSA. You can obtain a duplicate
PIN at www.pin.ed.gov.

Priority Processing Date - MARCH 1
The FAFSA must be received by the federal processor
by March 1 for priority consideration. Applicants for admission to the
College of Medicine as well as continuing students whose applications
are received by the federal processor after March 1 will be considered
for aid, but all funds may not be available and payment of funds may
not occur during the first week of class. Also,
there is a file complete deadline (usually in early April) that must
be met for priority consideration.
