PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

The University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine Urban Health Program conducts the seven-Week MCAT Prep Program that is designed prepares students to navigate the medical school admission process successfully, with activities including:


• MCAT preparation in structured classes
• Medical School Admission Workshops
• American Medical College Application Service (AMCAS) process workshops
• Personal Essay Writing and Mock Interview Workshops

There is an $500 participation fee to cover books, practice exams, in-class instruction and materials ( a retail value of over $1,999). To download a MCAT Prep Flyer, click here.

 

Eligibility Requirements:

In order to be CONSIDERED for the MCAT Prep Program, applicants must meet the following minimal eligibility requirements:

  1. Submit completed application, two letters of reference and provide official copies of transcripts from all universities and colleges attended.
  2. Submit Participation fee: $500.00
  3. Must be from an educationally or economically disadvantaged background; AND
  4. Must be a resident of the United States and either a U.S. Citizen, a U.S. National, an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence in the U.S., AND
  5. Have completed at least 70% of the science courses (Biology, Inorganic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry and Physics); AND
  6. Has an overall GPA of 3.0 on a scale of 4.0; AND
  7. Has an overall Science GPA of 2.5 on a scale of 4.0.
