ITS Gemini Home Access Guide

Description: This guide will provide you the detail of Gemini Home Access.

General Requirements:

• A computer purchased within the last 7 years
• Internet Connection with Dialup / DSL / Cable
• Microsoft Windows 95 / 98 / 2000 / ME / XP
• Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5.5 or later (Download)
• Citrix ICA Web Client version 6.3 or later (Download)

Installation:

Step 1: Install Microsoft Internet Explorer version 6 ( open ie6setup.exe )

Restart your computer after completion

Step 2: Install ICA Web Client version 8 software ( open citrix8.exe )

Step 3: Open Internet Explorer and access UI Medical Center / Hospital Intranet

( http://www.hospital.uic.edu )

Step 4: Select Remote Application Services from the menu

Step 5: Click on UIMCC Applications. (also found on main page)

Step 6: Enter your ITS Username and Password.

Step 7: Click on Fulldesktop and remote desktop will launch

Step 8: Gemini can be access from Start -> UIC Application -> UICMC Clinical
